Our refurbished Bar and Deck area can cater from 30 to 160 guests; exclusive use of the Deck or Bar & Deck is available on the following basis:
Exclusive Use of North Deck (Up to 80 Guests; $1,500 Minimum Spend; $150 Gratuity)
The North Deck is fully self contained with its own bar and heating. We can cater for up to 70 people in a standing cocktail type function (with bar stools and tables as space permits) or 35 in a seated dining setting. We have various requests when using this area eg. Juke Box, DJ, or CD’s and other “entertainments” and can usually adapt to suit your particular requirements
Exclusive Use of Bar & Deck (Up to 160 Guests; $4,000 minimum spend; $400 Gratuity)
This provides you with exclusive use of the Vue Bar (inside) and Deck (outside) facilities. When using this option you can also hire a D.J or band and party into the small hours of the morning.
Minimum Spend & Gratuity There is no separate hireage charge for exclusive use of our facilities.
We invoice you for your food and any agreed bar tab, up to at least the amount of the applicable Minimum Spend plus the applicable Gratuity. The Gratuity is paid to our staff to compensate for the tips they would otherwise have earned serving in the restaurant.
The invoice is to be paid prior to the function, by direct credit into our bank account as detailed on the invoice.
At the conclusion of the function any balance owing is to be settled in whatever manner we have previously arranged - by credit card, cheque or later payment against a further invoice.
Deposit A deposit of $500.00 reserves your intended date. It also serves as a bond and will be refunded after your function unless there are excessive breakages or additional cleaning requirements. In that case the appropriate amount will be deducted for glass replacement or cleaning costs.
Please note that the Deck is a smoking compliant area.
We strongly recommend that we meet to discuss your requirements about 2 weeks prior to your function date. We need to have your food requirements ten days before the function. As well as the food selection we will ask you to select the beverages that will go on your tab, and to tell us your bar tab limit, if any. We can operate a cash bar for any other beverages guests may order.

Functions at Hammerheads for School Groups
Our heated and covered Deck can cater for up to 80 guests. The minimum number required for a school group function is 30 people.
Exclusive Use of North Deck ($30 per person)
The North Deck is fully self contained with its own bar and heating.. We suggest you sell tickets for the parents to bring along on the night and redeem for a welcome drink of wine, beer or juice. We will also operate a cash bar on the Deck with a range of beers, wines and spirits. Eftpos will be available from this area. We can provide a template ticket which you can copy and adapt to your requirements if you wish. The canapés served are:-

The canapés are served over the first 2 hours of the function – we suggest an arrival time of 7.00pm works well for School Group functions.
Costings
The $30 per person covers the welcome drink ($8), the canapés ($21), and $1 from each ticket is a tip for the staff serving your function.
Payment
We request the function organizer make payment by cash or cheque in one amount on the date of the function.
Please note that for catering purposes we need the final confirmed number of guests to be notified to us at least 7 days prior to the date of the function.(It is a good idea to give your parents a deadline of at least 10 days prior to purchase their tickets).
