Group Bookings & Functions
Here at Hammerheads we can cater for all types of functions, from small gatherings, to full private use dinners or lunches, to 300+ cocktail functions.
Hammerheads Restaurant is in a great location with a beautiful view of the Auckland skyline and Okahu Bay. There is plenty of free car parking on-site with our own carpark, and free street parking opposite.
At our iconic Restaurant your guests can enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner whilst soaking up our fantastic view.

We can cater for groups on set menus from 10 up to our maximum seated capacity of 180.
For groups up to 30 guests we offer plated desserts or petit fours, for larger groups we offer shared dessert platters or petit fours.
Some items on our menus may be altered to suit but please do discuss this with us. We can also provide vegetarian, gluten free, or dairy free options if necessary.
Our North deck area can seat up to 30 guests for an exclusive use function. It is also perfect for stand-up functions of up to 80 guests, whether it’s an Engagement Party, 21st/40th/50th Birthday celebration, Parents Group or Staff party. For larger groups both the bar & deck areas can cater for up to 160 guests, both these areas are ideal to hire for Presentations or Product launches – please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.
We don’t charge a hire fee but a minimum spend does apply for private use.
Cocktail Functions
If you need to host a large number of guests with a less formal event but still impress with fine food and beverages, then you should consider having a Stand-Up function in place of our more traditional seated functions.
Instead of our menu-based a-la-carte service, your guests will be served canapés which will be circulated around the party, or help themselves from our range of delicious freshly prepared platters; or enjoy a combination of both.
The benefit to this style of event is it enables guests to mingle and engage with each other freely and comfortably without the constraint of remaining seated and stuck! In our experience, these functions work well in situations where guests may not know each other, or enjoy catching up with many people within a short space of time.
Depending on what you have arranged, we can help shift the focus to speeches, prizegiving, dancing or simply keep doing what Hammerheads does best – continue providing high-quality food and drinks with a genuine smile in a warm and efficient manner!
