Welcome to Hammerheads
Restaurant & Bar
If you are searching for an iconic seafood restaurant in Auckland, you have arrived at the right place!
We are just five minutes from the CBD along spectacular Tamaki Drive, where you can relax with waterfront views right from your table.
In 1990, our 19th Century heritage building at Okahu Bay transformed into a top restaurant that elevated Kiwis’ love affair with NZ seafood. Restaurants in Auckland would never be the same, and over two decades later, Hammerheads still leads as a one of Auckland’s best venues. Our job is a simple but rewarding one – to indulge visitors and locals with fine NZ food and wine served by friendly staff within beautiful surroundings.
We must be doing this job well, because we have the pleasure of being regarded as one the best wedding venues Auckland has to offer; and continue to enjoy popularity as a function venue for hire to suit any budget. With a large or small guest list, you can rest assured that each member of your party will be honoured as an individual.
Hammerheads specialises in fresh seafood and features the best cuts of NZ beef, lamb and game. Premium and popular NZ wines have been thoughtfully selected to complement each dish, and we have a team of pastry chefs dedicated to design desserts to die for.
Take a few minutes to browse our website, peek at our menu, like our facebook or plan your party… Hammerheads Restaurant has the experience, expertise and vision to ensure your intimate dinner for two, or your lavish Christmas function for two hundred is everything you should expect from one of the best restaurants in Auckland!
